Student Facilitation
U'Fac construct:
PHMT: Can have student facilitators for each PHMT unit. They will organize:
--Briefings for each site visit including:
--Background information about each site
--Facilitation of goals setting for each visit
--Facilitation of student group to create questions related to their goals
--Itinerary for visit
--Debrief of each site visit
--Lectures:
--Fill out lecture reporting form within 24 hours of the lectures in their unit.
--Do a check-out with the student group to guide what they will include in discussion sessions.
--Check fellow students' participation during lectures.
--Get info to student who have missed class
--Site visits:
--Act as main point person for contact by faculty and fellow students during the visit.
--Act as good role models for the site visits.
--Prepare any paperwork (questions, goals, etc.) and supplies
***The scouting visits are out for the beginning of the semester. So, students do not have an organized way to see communities before doing research there. Maybe, U'Facs can go during their units to scout one of the communities for the CPH course?
--Discussion Sessions
--Talk to Ajaan Toon about her involvement. She is willing to consult about PH content with students, but she does not feel she will have time to come to CIEE to meet with students. She talked about distributing some money to P'Facs for their work.
--But, she may be able to attend discussion session prep meeting if they are done at the Faculty.
